Sarah Gomez joined KIPP Philadelphia Schools in 2006 as the 7th/8th Spanish teacher at KPCS. After three years in the classroom in 2009 she transitioned to the KIPP Through College team as a Director of Alumni Support. This year, she will be working as the Director of the KTC program. Prior to arriving in Philadelphia, Sarah taught bilingual Kindergarten for three years in Houston as a 1999 Teach For America corps member. She then left Texas to pursue her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Teaching at Teachers College, where she met her husband, Michael. After a short stint in Omaha where they married, Sarah and Michael moved back to the East Coast they adore. They welcomed a daughter, Tessa in 2007, now 4 and a son, Peter, in 2009 now 2 and make a happy home in Cherry Hill. When not in Philly or NJ, you can find them taking a long weekend in NYC or traipsing around Disney World, the happiest place on earth.
