Joining the KIPP Team and Family in the role of Development Manager, Lydia Carle is responsible for supporting the Director of Development in reaching annual fundraising and capital campaign goals, re-initiating Friends of KIPP, and planning quality events to increase engagement. Before officially coming on full-time, Lydia interned in the Regional Office and acted as Interim Office Manager. Prior to KIPP, she worked at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware, administering and reporting 21st century grant initiatives, improving academic and enrichment programming in the after school program, and implementing data collection and tracking among the middle school academic program. Before relocating to Delaware, Lydia completed a two year commitment with Teach For America as a Kindergarten teacher in Charlotte, NC. She has a degree from University of Rochester in Political Science and Psychology. In her free time, Lydia enjoys Ultimate Frisbee, snowboarding, baking, and gardening.
