Academics Intern
Job Description:
The Academics Intern will work with the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment to increase alignment and improve strategic data analysis practices for KIPP Philadelphia Schools.
Work will include but is not limited to:
- Assistance in the development and presentation of Common Core implementation recommendation
- Curricular alignment analysis
- Teacher-level data analysis
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills – both written and oral
- Exceptional work ethic and can-do attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to conduct research and analyze large datasets to draw high level trends
- Passionate about making a positive impact on public education
- Preference given to candidates with understanding of k12 education
Availability:
Candidates should be available to work at least 4 hours per week (Mondays and Tuesdays preferred)

Development Intern
Job Description:

The Development Intern will work directly with the Director of Development. Schedule and hours are flexible and will be approximately 6-8 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
Reporting to the Director of Development (DOD) the Development Intern will:
- Help with monthly event planning including: school-based events and higher profile events
- Grant proposal and report writing
- Developing marketing materials
- Public relations outreach such as writing press releases
- General administrative support

High School and College Placement Intern (1 position available)
Our Mission:
KIPP Philadelphia Schools is committed to supporting its students to and through college. The KIPP Through College program provides essential resources to KPS students and alumni as they apply to high schools and colleges and provides ongoing mentoring and support for high school students, college students and college graduates.
Job Description:
The KTC program is currently seeking a highly motivated, task oriented and organized intern. The intern will work in the KTC office as well as on site at one or more of our schools alongside the Director of KTC and/or the Director of College Placement. They will be exposed to a fast paced non-profit work environment, learning the day to day functions of running a program that provides academic and social supports to students ranging from 7th grade to college. The KTC’s program hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Reporting to the Director, the Placement Intern will:
- Assist in the maintenance of student and office files, both paper and virtual
- Create and reproduce documents necessary for daily operation
- Handle student and parent inquires and outreach to students and parents as necessary
- Occasionally working directly with students and parents as they engage in the placement process
- Assist the KTC program staff with other projects as necessary

- Proficient in all of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, ExCel, Publisher and Power Point)
