KIPP West Philadelphia Elementary Academy

The mission of KIPP West Philadelphia Elementary Academy is to cultivate the intellect, character, skills, and habits of our students so that they can become empowered leaders who choose their own futures while leaving the world better than they found it.

Values

We will realize our mission and vision if we are successful at living our values every day. Our values are love, pride, joy, curiosity, and bravery. These values are the basis for everything we do at KIPP West Philadelphia Elementary Academy and describe how students, staff, and families will act in our school community.

Academics

KWPEA has a well-rounded and academically rigorous program that  includes 90 minutes of math, as well as 2 hours or more of literacy instruction daily. Students also have classes in art, PE, music, science, yoga and have scheduled recess time.

"Amanda Majcher never fails to do "whatever it takes" to meet all kids where they are. She worked miracles for 100 founding kindergarteners last year, and will be a game-changer for the class of 2030 this year by stepping back into the classroom. Her dedication is astounding and the authentic relationships she has built with her teammates, students, and their families allow her to handle difficult situations seamlessly. Baby West is beyond lucky to have her grace, resilience, optimism, and mentorship."
