Young Friends seeks engaged professionals who share our belief that all students will learn when given access to an excellent education. Young Friends is a group of volunteers who offer their time, skills, and resources to ensure the success and growth of KIPP Philadelphia schools.
Mission Statement: The mission of Young Friends is to support and advance KIPP Philadelphia Schools (KPS) as it strives to create and sustain an exceptional school system for the most underserved communities in Philadelphia. We will raise awareness of critical issues in education reform through commitment, discussion, and action/engagement so that together, we can change the conversation about what is possible in public education.

Goals: Young Friends will:
- Develop the next generation of leaders committed to improving KIPP Philadelphia Schools and the public education opportunities for all students.
- Raise the visibility of KIPP Philadelphia Schools and its work to ensure that all children have access to an excellent education.
- Increase the dialogue within the Greater Philadelphia Area as to what is possible in public education, the obstacles we are facing, and plausible solutions.
- Engage in activities that support the mission of KIPP Philadelphia schools and connect individuals to those who share their beliefs through social events, volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, and professional development.
Member Expectations:
- Pursue the goals and mission of Young Friends of KIPP Philadelphia Schools.

Become a knowledgeable ambassador for KIPP Philadelphia Schools.

Attend and participate in social and volunteer programming offered by Young Friends.

Engage in meaningful discussions with friends, colleagues, and community partners on the topic of education reform.

Contribute annual dues of $50.
